December 10, 2009

We wear them because we have to, but what do our shoes say about our culture?

From Egyptian burial sandals to a circus giant’s size 18 shoes The Shoe Museum curated by the Temple University School of Podiatric Medicine takes a historical and cultural approach to shoe art.

The  collection of footwear from several continents , decades and cultures features everything from platforms designed in China during the last millennium to trendy footwear from the two decades.
